EAT AT THE LORD’S TABLE

“Psalm 23:5 – “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

In the midst of life’s challenges and trials, it is comforting to know that as believers, we have a place at the Lord’s table. Our opening text beautifully captures this truth, reminding us that God prepares a table before us, even in the presence of our enemies.

Just as a host carefully plans and prepares a feast for their guests, God has meticulously arranged this table for you. He knows your needs, desires, and struggles. He knows the battles you face and the enemies that seek to bring you down. Yet, in His infinite wisdom and love, He invites you to partake of His goodness and provision.

As you sit at the Lord’s table, take a moment to reflect on the significance of this invitation. It is a reminder that God is with you, even in the midst of adversity. He is your protector, provider, and sustainer. He anoints your head with oil, symbolizing His blessing and favor upon your life. Your cup overflows with His abundant blessings, pouring out His goodness and grace.

Today, embrace this invitation to eat at the Lord’s table. Approach it with gratitude, knowing that it is a privilege to partake of His goodness.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – PHILIPPINES
Once the second richest country in Asia behind Japan, political instability and poor economic decisions by Filipino leaders over the years have transformed the nation into one of Asia’s poorest. Christianity is widespread, with over 90 percent of the population having Christian beliefs, but the smaller, but strong, five percent Muslims are generally in the southern islands, where they seek to consolidate four Philippine provinces as a separate Islamic state.

Prayer for the Nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we break every hold of the devil over this nation that is keeping the people from seeing the light; we pray that their eyes be opened in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for the Leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, give unto the leaders of Philippines a heart to know you, that they might be yielded to the leadership of your Spirit, in Jesus name.

Prayer for Israel – (Ps 122:6)Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today, that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen. (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will help the church to walk in love and oneness; and we come against every spirit of disunity, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon our city today, and cause a revival of soulwinning to be birthed in the Church, that we may reap a bountiful harvest of souls, in the name of Jesus.
