LIVE NOW: LET YOUR GLORY REST UPON ME – Praying the Promises | 15TH APRIL, 2024.
"And now, brothers and sisters, we want to tell you about the grace of God that has been shown in the churches of Macedonia. Even in the midst of great trouble, they were overflowing with joy and generosity. "
Dear Lord, help me to find joy in sacrificing for others. Let my giving be a reflection of Your generosity and love.
Yemen has a rich Christian history, with evidence of Christian presence dating back to the 4th century. However, over the centuries, the Christian population has dwindled significantly due to various factors such as persecution, migration, and political instability. Today, Yemen is considered one of the most dangerous countries for Christians, with only a small number of indigenous Christians remaining, estimated to be around 2,000-3,000. Many have fled the country due to the ongoing conflict, terrorism, and religious persecution.
Father in the name of Jesus, We Pray for the rebuilding of Yemen's economy and infrastructure, and for sustainable development and growth.
Father in the Name of Jesus, we pray for wisdom and compassion for Yemen's government and leaders, and for just and fair decision-making.
Father, in the name of Jesus, We ask that you cause increased strength upon our laborers today, In Jesus name.

THE JOY OF SACRIFICE
2 Corinthians 8:1-2
“And now, brothers and sisters, we want to tell you about the grace of God that has been shown in the churches of Macedonia. Even in the midst of great trouble, they were overflowing with joy and generosity.”
In our opening text today, Paul highlights the beautiful example of the Macedonian churches, who despite facing severe trials, overflowed with joy and generosity. They didn’t allow their difficult circumstances to dictate their giving; instead, they found immense joy in sacrificing for the benefit of others. This kind of sacrificial giving is a profound testament to their faith and love, showing that true generosity comes from within, regardless of personal challenges.
Sacrifice is often associated with loss or hardship, but the Macedonians demonstrate that it can also bring joy and fulfillment. When you prioritize giving and serving, your focus shifts from your own needs to the needs of others. This shift in focus not only helps those around you but also enriches your own life with a great sense of purpose.
Therefore, identify an area where you can practice sacrificial giving this week. It may be volunteering your time to help a community project, donating resources to those in need, or simply offering a listening ear to someone who feels unheard. By engaging in these acts of kindness, you not only provide valuable support, but will discover that the joy of sacrifice is a powerful and transformative force in your life.
