GET GOD’S ATTENTION

1 Kings 3:4-5 KJV
“And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
“

Some believers over time, have been accustomed to complaining about their situations rather than seeking a solution with God. We see in our opening text about King Solomon who gave a sacrifice unto God to get his attention. And from the verses that follow, we see that he got God’s attention.

When you sacrifice to God, you get His attention because not everyone is doing so. Through your sacrifice, you are letting Him know that you are in a state of complete surrender and you value what He says. Not only that, your sacrifice mobilizes God to move on your behalf because through your sacrifice, you show your faith in His ability to move the mountain of any situation.

Therefore, rather than complain about whatever state you are in, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what sacrifice you ought to give to secure divine intervention. And when He speaks, be prompt to obey and with a cheerful heart, give yourself to do it, expecting God to move on your behalf. Hallelujah!

🎴DAILY PRAYER GUIDE

▪Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your word today. I ask that you will open my eyes to see how I ought to align with you through sacrifice in Jesus Name.

◾Prayer for a Nation- Afghanistan

Afghanistan is a Muslim-majority country with a small Christian minority. There is no official count of Christians in Afghanistan, as many are forced to keep their faith secret due to persecution. However, estimates suggest that there are only a few hundred to a few thousand Christians in the country.

Christianity is not recognized as a legitimate religion in Afghanistan, and converts from Islam face severe discrimination and even death. The country’s constitution only recognizes Islam as the official religion, and apostasy (converting from Islam to another religion) is punishable by death.

Despite these challenges, there are some underground churches and Christian communities in Afghanistan, mostly made up of expatriates and converts from other religions. However, their activities are heavily restricted, and they often face harassment and intimidation from authorities and extremist groups.

◾Prayer for the Nation
Father, in the name of Jesus, cause a fresh hunger for you to be implanted in the hearts of many in the nation, that they may yearn for your truth in the name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Leaders
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that every veil of darkness covering the minds of the leaders in Afghanistan be totally removed now in the name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for Israel
Father, in the name of Jesus, cause Israel to be victorious, in the name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Unity of the Church

Dear father, we ask that you fill the Body of Christ with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, in Jesus Name.

◾Prayer for Souls/Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for every unsaved soul in our city today. We ask that the eyes of their understanding be enlightened, so that they may come to comprehend the love and sacrifice of Christ, in Jesus Name.
