SHOW DEPENDENCY IN PRAYER

📖 Philippians 4:6–7
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God..

In our opening scripture today, notice that the Apostle Paul did not say, “Do not worry about anything” because that would be unrealistic. Rather, he says, “Do not be anxious.” Anxiety is different from concern. Concern motivates one to act, but anxiety paralyzes. This is why you ought to learn how to handle and keep worry in check by the Word and prayer.

Keeping anxiety in check begins by understanding that you have a Father who makes all things work together for good, and thus, it does not matter how bad a situation may seem, He is able to breathe life into it and cause it to turn around. Meditating on this truth gives you the inner strength to cast all your cares upon Him, rather than allow them to weigh you down and cripple your faith. By bringing our anxieties before the Lord in prayer, you are entrusting them to His care. Just as our opening scripture further shows us, you are to do so with thanksgiving, recognizing that God is already at work in your life. This is the trigger that brings Him into action on your behalf.

Today therefore, refuse to give in to worry about your future—whether it’s about school admission, marriage, or your dream job. Instead, take a stand by meditating on God’s promises and engaging in prayer and thanksgiving. While you wait for your testimony, declare your trust in God by dedicating your time to praising His name. This way, you have the assurance of God’s intervention in your life. Halleluyah!

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask for grace to cast all my cares upon you. I rebuke every spirit of anxiety and fear right now in the Name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR A NATION:
AUSTRALIA
Traditionally a Christian nation with freedom of religion, Australia is becoming increasingly secular. While the majority of the population still claims to be Christian, only 10% attend church regularly.The Church is being challenged by a New Age, self-created spirituality, and more people are developing negative attitudes toward the Church.

◾Prayer for the Nation:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray for the churches in Australia and we ask for fresh fire to rest upon its pastors and members in the Name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Leaders:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will raise Godly men and women that will arise in the government of this Nation so that they might make laws to favour the Gospel in the Name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for Israel:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray that you will open the eyes of the people of Israel so that they will see that you are their only source of help in the Name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Unity of the Church:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the spiritual gifts you have given to each member of the Body of Christ. We pray that You reveal and develop these gifts in us for the edification of the church and the advancement of Your Kingdom, in Jesus Name, Amen.

◾Prayer for Souls/Revival:
Father, in the name of Jesus, cause our laborers to walk in signs and wonders as they reach out to the unsaved in the name of Jesus.
