1Corinthians 11:31
“…for if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.”
One very important command to be obeyed in the word is to judge yourself. This involves examining yourself in the light of God’s Word to see clearly what amends you must make in repentance and consecration. Our text today states that God will not need to judge us if we judge ourselves.
The bible is filled with lots of instructions that when obeyed, activates loads of benefits into our lives. As a believer, when you walk with the Lord daily, there are so many blessings accrued to you. However, if you begin to deviate from the tenets of the word, you begin to lose your reward! Hence, the bible teaches us to judge ourselves.
Let us therefore receive His Word today in all humility, straightening up areas where the Lord so demands. Examine yourself in the light of His word, making necessary changes in obedience; and you will not need to be judged by God. Halleluyah!
