There are seasons in life when everything seems to be falling in place without stress, and all that your heart desires is within reach. Yet, there are other times when nothing seems to be working. These dry seasons are many times a wakeup call for us to seek God with renewed vigour.

God is not the author of our dry seasons, but He may allow a dry season to draw our attention so we can step up our pursuit of Him. Thus, in seasons of dryness, seeking the Lord betimes, as our opening text today states, is an important key to securing a change of season.

Seeking God early begins with giving Him priority in your day, and taking important and specific time to seek after Him. Thus, if you want a revival in your life or you want to come out of a season of dryness or repeated defeat, you have to now begin to reposition your heart and mind to seek unto God.

Also, in seasons when things seem not to be working, it is important that you spend quality time praying for yourself. When you pray, remember to mention specific things that you would want God to change in your life, and the outcome that you want to see. As you do this, you will begin to see the result of what you have been waiting for.

Remember, as you seek the Lord betimes, you are training your heart to trust in Him and not in your own effort, knowledge or connections. Putting Him first in this way will cause you to smile again, bringing you into a new season where your life, business, and career begins to blossom
