BE CONSCIOUS OF CONSEQUENCES

2 Samuel 1:14
“And David said unto him, how wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’S anointed?”

Consequences are results of our decisions. For every action of obedience our disobedience to Gods commandment, there are real consequences – Blessings or a curse. (Deut. 28:1,15). It is therefore wisdom to consider the spiritual consequence of your actions which may be seen or unseen.

Our opening text today captures King David’s wrath against a young soldier who claimed to have killed Saul, an anointed King of Israel. For his claim, the young soldier lost his life. What he thought would have brought a commendation and perhaps some financial reward turned to be his death.

To touch the Lord’s anointed in your thoughts, your words or by your actions is still a terrible sin with grave consequences before God today (1Chron.16:22). To speak evil of those who God has exalted (Pet. 2:10) is to incur the wrath of God. Choose therefore to honour God’s ministers today and always as a matter of priority.

Father in the name of Jesus, I repent of any way I have spoken ill of your anointed. I ask for grace to begin to honour your anointed one’s in the name of Jesus.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will cause believers to live together in unity according to your will in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Souls/Revival
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that through our message, many who are lost in our cities will be liberated and delivered from the kingdom of darkness in Jesus name.
