Romans 4:20 (KJV)
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”
Most commonly today, we see some believers go into the place of prayer with strong faith but lose momentum when they don’t see immediate results. As time goes by and challenges arise, it becomes easy to waver and let doubt creep in. Instead of standing firm on God’s promises, some may begin to question whether He will fulfill His Word, allowing inconsistency in faith to weaken their trust in Him. This inconsistency unknown to them often delays the fulfillment of what God has already set in motion.
However, this was not the attitude of Abraham. Despite the delay in seeing God’s promises fulfilled, he remained steadfast. Abraham didn’t allow unbelief to shake him; he chose to trust God. He maintained his faith and continued to give glory to God, even when the situation seemed bleak. His consistency in faith is a model for us, showing that doubt only delays the manifestation of God’s promises, while faith keeps us connected to Him.
Decide today to be consistent in your faith, even when faced with trials. Just as Abraham did, choose to give glory to God in every situation. Whenever you feel doubt creeping in, counter it by praising God and meditating on His promises. Also, surround yourself with uplifting scriptures, testimonies, and faith-filled confessions. Maintain a thankful heart, because He who promised is faithful and will surely bring His Word to pass in your life. Halleluyah!
START PRAYER:
Oh Lord, I choose to trust You today and every day. Help me stay consistent in faith, regardless of the trials I face. I declare that I will hold onto Your promises, knowing that You are faithful and you can never fail in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
BOLIVIA
Bolivians are overwhelmingly Catholic (at least formally), and the Catholic Church has historically wielded enormous influence. It is now being threatened by the sizable increase in Protestant and other non-Catholic denominations. A further challenge is the large number of baptized Roman Catholics, over one-half, that practice Catholicism with traditional Inca and Christo-pagan religions. The number of Evangelical Christians has risen to over fifteen percent and their influence is growing. Some form of the Bible is available in most Bolivian languages, but illiteracy prevents many from reading it. Bolivia is changing politically and many are unsure of the future, but each day they live with poverty and the resulting social issues.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION:
Oh Lord, we ask in the Name of Jesus that you will cause more laborers to arise from amongst the churches and give them boldness to proclaim your name fervently in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Oh Lord, we pray for all those in authority and for every leader of this nation, that you would give them your wisdom and discernment as they lead in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray that you will cause Israel to be unified and cause your Fear to fill all the Land in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will give us the grace to comfort the feeble mind, support the weak and be patient towards all men in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you break the chains of addiction and sinful habits, leading the unsaved to repentance in Jesus Name.
