 BE DETERMINED TO PLEASE GOD 

“Hebrews 11:6a – But without faith it is impossible to please him…”

As believers, there will always be things that our flesh desires but has the potential to pull us back into sin, and thus weaken our faith. But thanks be to God that there is no sin that we do not have dominion over, through the blood of the Lamb. All we must to do is to be determined to please God. Rather than fighting sin, we ought to focus on God.

The determination to please God is the resolve to live by faith, because it is faith that enables us to please God. Thus, whatsoever is not inspired or motivated by faith is sin, that is, a displeasure to God (Rom. 14:23b). Sin therefore, is more than just fornication, adultery and the likes, but anything done outside faith, especially habits and things that may give us physical pleasure but steal our affection for the things of the Spirit.

Remember, God’s word instructs us to lay aside every weight and sin because we can. We have the Spirit of God who works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil. 2:13), and we ought to compliment His effort by being determined to live by faith and please the Lord at the expense of our feelings or fleshly desire. The quest for a deeper walk with God begins here.

Startup Prayer: : Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the working of your Spirit in me to will and to do your good pleasure. Help me to be fully yielded to your Spirit to walk in faith throughout today, that I may please you the more, in Jesus Name

Prayer for the Nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the spiritual growth and maturity of church leaders in this nation, that they may know how to foster unity in their relationship with other believers, in Jesus Name

Prayer for the Leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will deliver the leaders from wicked and unreasonable men, who will seek to give them wrong counsels, in Jesus name.

Prayer for Israel – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today, that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen. (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH

Father in the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of rebellion in the church today. Help us to labour before you with one heart and mind, in Jesus name

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL

Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that your Word will have a free course in the hearts of all unsaved souls in our cities and environs today, in Jesus name.
