BE SELFLESSHE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE

Philippians 2:3‭-‬4 KJV
“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Selflessness is a virtue that stands in contrast to the stark self-centeredness often encouraged by the world. In our opening text, we see Apostle Paul admonishing believers to do nothing out of selfish ambition but to consider others as more important than ourselves. This does not mean we are to neglect our own needs or well-being, but rather, it challenges us to prioritize the well being of others above our needs.

The Lord Jesus, the ultimate and perfect example of selflessness, left the glory of heaven to come to the earth, not to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. His entire life was a demonstration of sacrificial love and we, as followers of His, are called to emulate this example.

Selflessness is not always easy because it requires humility and a willingness to surrender our will to God. But the beauty of selflessness is that it reflects the very heart of God, who loved us so much that He gave His only Son for our salvation. Let us, therefore,with this understanding, look for opportunities to serve others, to love sacrificially, and to reflect the selfless love of Christ to a world in need.

DAILY PRAYER GUIDE

Father in thr name of Jesus, I thank You for the example of your Son, Jesus, who lived a life of perfect selflessness. I ask that you give unto me a heart that is willing to sacrifice for the sake of others, and help me to love as You have loved me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer for a Nation- ALBANIA

Albania has been a secular state since 1912, meaning it remains neutral on matters of belief and conscience. The most common religion in Albania is Islam, followed by Christianity. However, religious observance and practice are generally lax today, and polls indicate that few Albanians consider religion to be important factors in their lives.

Father, we pray for the Christians in Albania that they would be an example of Christ to everyone they encounter in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer for the Leaders
 Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for the leader of this nation that you will protect them from influences that could lead them astray in the Name of Jesus.

Prayer for Israel
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask that you will heal their land and cause their people to be prosperous in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the Unity of the Church

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will break down any barrier and stronghold that prevents the unsaved from accepting your grace in the Name of Jesus.

Prayer for Souls/Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you would give the unsaved souls in our city the grace to repent and courage to pursue a life with you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
