John 6:11-12 (NJKV)
“And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. “
Management refers to the ability to properly utilize and maximize resources to achieve set goals without waste or incurring losses. A wise manager utilizes what is put in his care to ensure it is sufficient for its purpose, and that in the event of excess, there is no waste.
As we see in our opening text, The Lord Jesus was a master at management. After He fed the people, He refused to allow waste.
If you must succeed, you ought to learn from Him. Learn how to manage food, money, and people to ensure that there is no waste.
However, the management of people is the least often talked about, but it is very important for your success. For example, the productivity of the people who work with you is dependent on how well you can manage their competencies and weaknesses. This would enable you to position them strategically, where they are at their best, and, ultimately aid you in the achievement of your organizational goals.
Therefore, make up your mind to become a wise manager, one who properly utilizes the resources at his disposal.
