🔳 DEVELOP AN APPETITE FOR THE WORD

📖 Psalm 119:11 KJV
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.”

For a believer, studying the Word is crucial to truly knowing the Lord and growing in faith. More so, the Word of God is that which empowers you to live above sin, just like our opening scripture today shows us. This means that without a consistent desire to engage with the scriptures, a believer’s faith is bound to fail.

Studying the Word is important because it is the foundation of our spiritual growth and connection with God. That is why you must not just read the scriptures as a matter of duty but to develop a love for the Word, making it a priority every day. This entails carving out moments specifically for reading the Scriptures, praying, and meditating, treating this as a sacred appointment for your growth and preservation.

Today, therefore, commit to studying the Word as a matter of priority. Start with manageable goals, such as reading a chapter or a few verses each day, and consider using a devotional guide to help you navigate the Bible throughout the year. By consistently feeding on God’s Word this way, you will deepen your understanding of His ways and this will cause your heart to align with His will, keeping you grounded in the path of life forever more. Hallelujah!

START-UP PRAYER:
Father,in the name of Jesus, I ask that you ignite in me a passion for Your Word. Help me to prioritize time each day to study and meditate on Your truths, and grow closer to You in Jesus Name.

▪Prayer for a Nation
ARUBA

The vast majority of Arubans would identify themselves as Christians, and most of those (about 86%) are within the Catholic church. Christian radio and TV programs are also prominent across the island. Sadly, foreign influences have brought in division within the Church. There also exist a high level of divorce, births outside marriage and drug abuse even amongst teens.

◾Prayer for the Nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we break every hold of darkness over the minds of the teenagers in this nation; we loose them to seek the Lord in the name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Leaders:
Father in the name Jesus, we pray that the leaders will be willing to sacrifice personal comfort and convenience in other to render excellent services, and do the will of God in the discharge of their duties, in Jesus name.

◾Prayer for Israel:
Father, we ask that you give unto the leaders of this land a teachable heart, that they may align with your plans and purpose for the nation, in Jesus name.

◾Prayer for the Unity of the Church:
Father in the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of offense, bitterness, and anger in the Church; and we ask for the spirit of love, peace, and unity to rest on us, in Jesus’ name

◾Prayer for Souls/Revival:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that your light will cover the nations of the earth, and that in every place, men, women, and youths will begin to hunger for you in a new way, in Jesus Name.
