LORD, SHOW ME YOUR WAY- PRAYING THE PROMISES – 7TH AUGUST 2024
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask for grace to bridle my tongue and not engage in matters that are beyond my jurisdiction in Jesus Name.
Over eighty-six percent of the nation’s ten million citizens are practicing Muslims. Religious institutions are still required to register with the Azeri government in order to congregate,
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask that you destroy and divide the tongues of those who would incite violence against Israel.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will strengthen our hunger to know and be intimate with you so that we may walk according to your divine plan always in the Name of Jesus.

- Jeremiah 6
- Revelation 15

DISCIPLINE YOUR THOUGHTS
📖Matthew 7:20 KJV
‘Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.’
Our thoughts shape who we are and influence the decisions we make. They are the foundation upon which our actions are built. You can never be better than your thinking pattern, Yet, many times, we allow negative, fearful, or doubtful thoughts to take root in our minds. These unchecked thoughts lead to actions that do not align with God’s will. Jesus reminds us in our opening text that we are recognized by the fruit we bear. Just as a tree bears fruit, our lives produce fruit according to our thoughts. To walk in God’s purpose, we must discipline our minds to align with His Word as you can never exceed your thinking capacity.
Disciplining our thoughts means intentionally replacing harmful, negative ideas with those that reflect God’s truth. When feelings of inadequacy, fear, or bitterness creep in, we can counter them by meditating on the Word, which reminds us of our identity in Christ. This mental discipline is a daily exercise that shapes the kind of fruit we produce in our lives. It requires vigilance, prayer, and surrendering to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to help us focus on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
Today, be intentional about guarding your thoughts. Pay attention to the thoughts you allow dominate your heart and ask God to help you replace them with His Word. Let your life reflect the good fruits that comes from a disciplined, Christ-centered mind. Halleluah!
START-UP PRAYER:
Father, I ask for grace to discipline my thoughts. Help me to replace negative thoughts with your word only in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION:
BARBADOS
The island is 95% Christian, with 61% being Protestant and 34% Anglican. Despite these high numbers, the Church in Barbados sees itself in the throes of spiritual decline, with church attendance decreasing and materialism increasing. In addition, denominational leaders and independent churches lack trust and unity. Acceptance and practice of the occult is growing, and immorality is becoming increasingly prevalent, even in the church. The nation’s youth are in a precarious position, facing many temptations from an increasingly immoral society.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray that the church in this land will overflow in all the gifts of the Spirit, including powerful preaching, healing and prophetic revelation in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask for your mercy over this nation, bring them closer to you in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray for the leaders in Israel, we ask that you give them insight to solve complex issues in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH:
Father, in the name of Jesus we ask that you save us from the tempter and cause our labour to not be in vain in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS/REVIVAL:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you dismantle every pride and self-reliance in the heart of the unsaved and replace it with a hunger for spiritual truth in the Name of Jesus.
