Listen to Praying the Promises
1 Peter 5:8 KJV-
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
In our walk with God, distractions are one of the greatest threats to the fulfillment of His plan for our lives. Many believers start strong with clear visions and dreams, but along the way, distractions emerge, pulling them away from their path. These distractions can take many forms—relationships, new opportunities, or even well-intentioned pursuits. While they may not be inherently bad, they can subtly shift our focus from the greater calling God has placed on our lives.
Satan knows that if he can divert your attention, he can delay or even derail your progress. He often uses distractions that seem good or harmless, but in reality, they prevent you from giving your full attention to the dreams God has placed in your heart. It is important to recognize that not all good doors are God’s doors and not every relationship is meant to be part of your journey. By yielding to these distractions, you can easily lose sight of your God-given purpose.
To stay on course, you must be intentional about guarding your focus. Refuse to allow anything, no matter how appealing, to draw you away from the pursuit of your dreams. Prioritize your time, your vision, and your calling above all else. Trust that as you stay focused on God’s plan, He will provide everything you need to fulfill it.
START-UP PRAYER
Oh Lord,I ask for grace to stay focused on the purpose You have set before me. Give me the wisdom to recognize distractions and the strength to avoid them in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
BURKINA FASO
Extreme poverty has led to massive migration of workers to Cote d’Ivoire for seasonal work, where the majority convert to Islam. Approximately half the population is Muslim and the remainder is equally divided among Christians and ethnic religions. Unfortunately, each of these groups is also deeply involved in the occult. The church has not escaped the challenges facing the Burkinabe. There is great need for leadership, mentoring, financial support, and a willingness to evangelize the unreached.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, we ask that You raise leaders, mentors, and financial supporters who will be committed to advancing the work of Your kingdom. Equip them with the resources and vision needed to support evangelism efforts, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, we ask that You grant the leaders of this land the wisdom to address the challenges facing the nation, including security, poverty, and governance issues. Use them as instruments to bring stability and lasting peace to Burkina Faso, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that Israelis, especially young people, will forsake and repent of the worship of false gods that invites witchcraft into the country in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we pray that every attempt of hell to sabotage and discredit the Church will not stand in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that God would free them from the slavery of sin and from the grip of the enemy in Jesus Name.
