“and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”

When it comes to God’s promises, there is one unchanging truth: He will do exactly what He has said. Yet, waiting for His word to come to pass is not a time for worry or restless impatience. Instead, it is a time to rest in God’s integrity, lifting Him up in praise. Abraham modeled this beautifully, giving glory to God throughout the long years before the birth of Isaac. He showed us that waiting is not a passive act, but an active trust in God’s faithfulness and reliability.

Abraham’s unwavering faith teaches us how to handle seasons of waiting. Rather than becoming anxious or doubtful, he stayed focused on the truth that God is able and faithful to perform what He has promised. Like we see in our opening text, this confidence in God’s integrity allowed Abraham to live in peace, holding firmly to the truth of God’s promises even when there was no visible sign of fulfillment.

If you are holding onto a promise from God that has not yet come to pass, choose to praise Him for His integrity. Trust that, while His timing may differ from yours, He will surely fulfill His word. Meditate on how he came through for you in this year and let this drive you to praise Him because faithful is He that promised for there will surely be a performance. Hallelujah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION
BRUNEI

In the nation of Brunei, government and religion are intermingled. A constitutional sultanate, locally known as the Malay Islamic Monarchy, rules the nation in an Islamic tradition dating back to the 15th century.  Even Brunei’s national flag displays the crescent moon, a common Islamic emblem that illustrates the nation’s religious affiliations. Though only 67% of Bruneians are Muslim, it is illegal to proselytize, and Muslims are forbidden to convert from Islam. These restrictions greatly hinder missionary attempts to establish new Christian communities.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION

Father, we ask that you will begin to fill the lay persons leading the underground church in this land with spiritual maturity and more indepth revelation of the world in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that by your spirit, you begin to create new entrance for people who truly believe in you to begin to take high leadership positions in this land and they would lead with integrity and the fear of the Lord in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the name of Jesus we pray for justice in Israel. We ask that you will guide the judges and lawmakers and cause fairness to prevail in every court.

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will help us cling to our first love. Help up not to take You or Your message of redemption for granted in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, we ask that there be various opportunities for the unsaved to be aware of your love and how lost they are without you. Please use social media, co-workers, literature and other means to bring awareness of their sin and your solution to the in Jesus Name.
