But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV.
It is wisdom to put the future ahead of the present and to give it a higher priority. As you start up a new phase in your life decide to give the things that push you closer to your future more attention. You need to refuse any form of carelessness that would negatively affect your tomorrow. Don’t allow the little foxes to destroy your precious vine.
God has given you the free will to choose what you want but you must apply wisdom to make decisions that would not jeopardize your future. More specifically do not give into pleasures of the moment that would cause you to lose your future value or relevance.
Look not on the things that are now for they are temporary and transient. So don’t be discouraged!! What God has said about you is possible with you and it would come to pass as you cut out all distractions and set your gaze on that glorious future that the Lord has promised you. Glory to God!
