To another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:10
This gift of the Spirit gives the believer the ability to verbally interpret the divine utterance or language that cannot be understood by the natural senses. This gift of the Spirit edifies the church. It makes known the mysteries of God by interpreting God’s divine message to the church ( 1 Corinthians 14:5 – I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification).
Apostle Paul admonishes us to earnestly desire to interpret tongues so that we can edify (build up) the church as clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 14:12-13. Even though you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church which is more profitable. Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
Interpretation of tongues is a very important spiritual gift that every believer should earnestly desire because, by it, the Spirit of God unveils mysteries and hidden wisdom to the believer and the church. Thus, hunger and ask God for this gift.

This in turn is a major contributing factor in the AIDS epidemic and the crime rate in the nation. Young people need the gospel, having given themselves over to postmodern materialism and hedonism.
