Psalm 96:9
_O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth._
When the greatness of God is revealed to a man who fears God, it triggers a holy fear that propels him to worship. Worship is a concentrated adoration expressed in words, songs, gestures or music. Asides our opening Scripture today, various other Scriptures, depict the correlation between fear and worship, because fear always attracts worship.
Little wonder, the Psalmist declared, “…the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.” (Psalm 96:4). Also, every time we give God glory, we stand firmer in the will of God. The Bible says that Abraham did not fall short of the promises of God because he continually gave glory to God! (Rom 4:20).
As you culture the habit of giving God glory at all times, you are powerfully declaring that He is the author of all your victories and that you are deficient by yourself. Therefore, become determined to give glory to God at all times, as this is the very will of God for you. Halleluyah!
