Genesis 8:21
“And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake…”
One of the ways we have learnt to appreciate our parents, spouse, friends or relations is by presenting them with gifts. We do this as an attempt to express how much they mean to us or how much we value who they have been to us. By our gift, we create a memorial of our love for them.
In the same way, an offering to God in thanksgiving is a memorial before Him. It is a sweet smelling savour. Observe God’s response to the offering of Noah as seen in our scriptural text today. God resolved henceforth not to curse the ground, which was the source of man’s food and sustenance.
Therefore, set out in your heart to thank the Lord in a big way this season. Resolve not to appear before Him empty-handed (Exo. 23:15), but predetermine what you would offer to Him as you appear before Him in thanksgiving. A mighty blessing awaits you!
Prophecy 1: May your offerings to God be a sweet smelling savour this season in Jesus name.
Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may greatness unfold daily in your life in Jesus name.
