SCRIPTURAL TEXT: 2Corinthainas 4:15
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more
people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the Glory of God.
December 26th
The knowledge of the Glory of God is enough for a believer to glorify Him through praise and thanksgiving, but many believers fail to thank God.
This is chiefly because they think that they deserved what they have or it is their right to health and the good things of life. The Bible clearly states that no man can receive anything except God has given it to him.
Promotion becomes automatic only when you are constantly grateful for what you have. Therefore, in failing to thank God often, we delay our own promotion.
Also, thankfulness helps us increase our faith and put our trust in God. Learn to always compare yourself or your present situation with your past, you will find a lot to be grateful for.
As you take stock of 2022, do not forget to give God thanks for every bit of progress you have made so far in different areas of your life. Never get used to what God has done for you because you do not deserve them in the first place.
You have come this far only by the Grace of God.
As you give thanks to God today and every day, be assured that your 2023 will even be greater. Halleluyah!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, I am grateful for every addition you brought
my way this year, I give you praise Lord in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR MALDIVES
Background: Maldives is rated amongst the top 10 nation that needs the Gospel. 50% are unreached with the Gospel. It has one of the highest divorce rates in the world, rising crime and gang activity, abuse of children, and endemic drug use among teens.
We pray against every stronghold of pride, and fear prevalent in the nation which is militating against the Gospel.
Dear Father, guard the leaders and protect their families from every plan of the wicked, so they can lead without
distractions.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Dear Father, help the church to dwell together in unity.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the church, that the light from our church will so shine that our
cities will gather and come unto us to know our God in Jesus name.
