GOD DOES NOT CONDEMN YOU.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:1

In your journey as a Christian, have you ever heard resounding voices condemning you in your mind, about an error you made, a sin you committed, so much so that you felt that it was the angry voice of the Lord speaking to you? While this may usually seem to be the voice of the Lord, it is not. The voice of God only convicts you of sin but never condemns you. (John 8:11)

When God convicts you, He uses the Word to show you where you have gone wrong. Thus, the Word is the tool for conviction, which leads to repentance and in the end produces joy. But the focus of condemnation is the enormity of your sin, which keeps you in despair and makes you want to give up.

We have an adversary who engineers condemnation as a tool to slow you down in your walk with God. He reminds you that your sins are too grievous to be forgiven, and tells you that God is no more interested in you. How wicked!

So, the next time you hear those voices of condemnation, remember that it is your adversary, the devil speaking. On the contrary, we have a God who loves us too immeasurably to give up on us so easily.  When we repent genuinely before Him, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us of our sins.

Y: We are praying that the Church will remain a force in the land and will be actively involved in drawing many to the Lord.
