SCRIPTURAL TEXT:
And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, here am I.
Gen 46:2.
Our world today is filled with various dark practices all targeted at contacting the spirit world or accessing the supernatural. From sorcery, to witchcraft, to mediums, diviners and necromancers, more and more people seem to have more faith and seek answers in the terror-filled, complex and wicked dark world, than in a loving and easy-to-be-entreated Father God. Sadly, it is always a dead-end for such people and their end has always turned out far worse that when they began.
It it’s very interesting to note that God desires to communicate with His children, and He still speaks today to all who care enough to listen. All through scriptures we see that God readily speaks to man. In fact, the reason for the creation of man was for fellowship. There cannot be fellowship without communication and communication is not complete if it is one sided. The challenge is that many do not recognize how and when God speaks to them, this was the case of Samuel until he was guided by Eli.
God speaks to us also, through visions just as seen in our opening scripture. Whether through night visions, open visions, trances or dreams, God delights in communicating with His children. Therefore, as you proceed into the year, ask and expect God to show you things He would delight that you see concerning your year. As you persist in prayer, your eyes would be opened! Glory to God

Father, I thank you for this new day and the privilege you have given me to know you and to walk with you by faith. I am grateful for the revelation of your Word and the gift of your Holy Spirit. I commit myself to fellowshipping with your Word and your Spirit this day. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight and to live a life that pleases you. I consecrate my whole body, soul and spirit to you right now, in Jesus Name. Amen

G. PRAY FOR A COUNTRY IN NEED TODAY: BAHAMAS
More than 90 percent of the population of the Bahamas professes the Christian religion, and most attend services regularly. However, Jehovah’s Witness and Muslim communities also are very active in the nation and about 10% of its total population is still unreached with the Gospel.
PRAY FOR BAHAMAS; We are praying for the nation Bahamas that the word of the lord will prevail in her.

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Psa. 122:6)
