Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. Psalm 143:10
David was a great king, yet he humbled himself to follow God’s will and His teaching. David understood that he was flesh and that he had weaknesses, so he surrendered himself to God, and diligently sought God’s grace and mercies.
As seen in our opening scripture, we cry out to God because we are aware of our personal infirmities and the sins which so easily entangle us. On our own, we have no power to overcome the weight of sin and disobedience. So, we cry out to God asking Him to teach us to do His will and live a life that pleases Him. Instead of giving up in circumstances where obedience seems hard, crying out to God and trusting that He will supply His grace where our strength seems to fail, is the key to victory.
The grace you need to live in obedience has been made available to you; all you need to do is apply for that grace in the place of prayer. Always ask the Holy Spirit to teach you to do the will of God and simply yield yourself to Him. As you do, be ever quick to realign with Him if you go off-track, because in the school of obedience, the learning never stops!
Prophecy 1: May the grace to walk in uprightness and obedience to God rest on you now in Jesus name.
Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you hear the voice of the Spirit in Jesus name.
