Honour is a special treatment given to someone because of the special place that they occupy in your life. We see now that honor is given to any person is based on their importance and placement in our lives. So, we honor our Parents, Pastors, Government leaders, elders, etc. If men can deserve honor, what kind of honor do you think is due to God?
Our scriptural text helps us to understand that it is important to honor God and this can be done by offering to God our substance and the first of all our increase (First fruit). You cannot honor God only with your words! A man that truly honors God knows that something of great price must go from him to God as an offering. We are very quick to honor men but forget to give God the honor that is due to His name. (1 Chron 16:29)
Whenever we give to God in honor, it is received as a sweet-smelling savor and the blessings that are hovering over our heads are commanded to rest upon us. You can never offer in honor to God and lose; rather your barns would be filled with plenty even unto an overflowing measure. (Luke 6:38)
Prophecy 1: May the revelations of honor to God fill your heart in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophecy 2: As you step out today, may you be honored above your equals in Jesus’ name, Amen!
