God’s Word contains all that you need for a successful life, career or ministry. However, God’s Word will not work for you just because you read it or because the Bible is placed under your pillow all night long. Our opening text today stresses the need to study to the point where we can rightly divide the word of truth.

Digging deep into God’s Word for revelation and greater understanding requires much time and energy. That is why it qualifies as a form of work. Diligently sharing God’s Word with the people in your life and those who God has placed you over is also labour, one which makes you honourable before God and man (1Tim. 5:17).

As a believer, you would be in a better position to put down the devil and triumph over the limitations of this realm when you go beyond mere assumptions to knowing the Word of God for yourself, having properly assimilated it by meditation (Matt. 4:1-11). Then, you will live a life worthy of attracting the lost to Christ, and reap the fruits of constant victory and prosperity.

Therefore, be disciplined to take out time to labour in the Word today and always, so that you can live a life of constant victory, rightly dividing the word whenever the need arises.
