SCRIPTURAL TEXT:
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
1John2.16
We have always thought that the lust of the flesh refers to just stealing, lying or fornication, but it is much more than that. The lust of the flesh is the superiority or worship of one’s own
desire above God.
It begins from self-will, where one does as he wills or follows what he wants rather than what God wants, even in simple day to day matters. For example, God wants you to apologise to your spouse or someone, but you chose rather not to. Or God does not want you to leave a certain location, but you choose to. Self-will then graduates into fleshy desires and into compound sins (Ephesians 2: 1-3). This will attract the cloak of darkness and deactivate your armour of light.
To overcome the lusts of the flesh, you must learn to prioritize God and the things that pertain to Him above others. Nothing should be a god to you, as you cannot serve two masters. Acknowledge that you are nothing without God. By doing so, your light will become brighter. Glory to God!

G. PRAY FOR A COUNTRY IN NEED TODAY: ARUBA
Aruba is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea. 25% of their population is unreached with the Gospel. However, the increased fellowship and cooperation among pastors has helped to curb issues on homosexual marriage legislation, teen drug addiction and the high rate of illegitimate births (about 50%).
PRAY FOR ARUBA: We are praying for the churches in Aruba that they will be strengthened and will be a force in the nation.
H.PRAY FOR JERUSALEM
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Psa. 122:6)
