Psalm 16:8
“I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Our minds are often filled with countless worries—personal challenges, fears about the future, and burdens that seem too heavy to bear. But when we allow our hearts and minds to dwell on these problems, we lose sight of the peace God offers. Our opening text shows us that when we set the Lord before us, he ensures that we are not moved by the pressure of life. Instead of letting problems consume us, we are called to place God at the forefront of our thoughts, believing that He is our stronghold.
Meditating on the Lord means focusing on His presence and promises. Imagine God as your shield, encircling you with protection. Picture Him as your shepherd, guiding you to green pastures and still waters, supplying every need. When you fill your mind with His truth and promises, the anxieties of life lose their grip on you. Let each thought of the Lord strengthen your faith, knowing He is near, guiding, comforting, and defending you against every storm.
Today, close your eyes and meditate on His nearness. Let go of worries and intentionally set your mind on His Word and His faithfulness. You will find peace, strength, and a firm foundation that cannot be shaken.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
BRAZIL
Since 1931, a 120-foot tall statue of Jesus with his arms outstretched and his head angled downward toward the city of Rio de Janeiro has stood at the top of the 2,300-foot Corcovado mountain.Down below in the city, however, Jesus’ presence is less visible. Though more than 74% of the country’s people identify themselves as Roman Catholic and another 16% identify themselves as Christian, Brazil is a nation struggling with nominalism and spiritism. Also, out of the 200 million people in the nation, 40 million Brazilians live below the poverty line. Within these slums, hundreds of thousands of street children find themselves trapped in drug addiction, prostitution, and violence, and many suffer from AIDS.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for effective training and discipleship tools that will enable all Christians and ministers of the gospel to connect meaningfully with the unreached in this nation in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that You will remove leaders and men of authority that you did not set up. Give this nation selfless leaders, mean and women of wisdom and understanding; leaders who will not cause the people to err.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray and declare that the body of Christ will have one mind; that they speak with one voice, mission, and purpose on earth.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we cry for a release of your mercy upon every unsaved soul in this city and its environs, that they will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
