There is a common knowledge that children grow up observing, imbibing and practicing what they see their parents or guardians do. In fact, they tend to adopt more of what they see than what they are told. What does that tell us as leaders, parents or guardians?

Instead of raising obedient children or followers, we would promote rebellion if the way we live contradicts the message that we preach. However, where Godly attributes like love, patience, diligence and self-control are lived out before those whom we teach those traits, we can be sure that the same spirit will rest upon them and work out the same traits in them. Glory to God!

Modelling what you teach remains the most effective way to teach Godly principles. As parents, guardians or leaders, it is therefore important that we focus on living the life of Christ as we seek to instil Godly principles in the family or organization that we lead.

Of Panama’s 3.2 million inhabitants, over 90% claim Christianity. Most of these are Catholic. Despite the Christian majority, the local churches lack vision and unity, while widespread nominalism skims effectiveness. Morality problems plague Panama, including divorce, illegitimate children, domestic violence, immorality, and drug use.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for an outpour of your Spirit upon Panama, that will cause a mighty harvest of souls into the Kingdom, in the name of Jesus!

2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, touch the hearts of the Panama leaders today, and cause them to desire righteousness and begin to thirst for the truth, in the name of Jesus.
