OFFER YOUR BEST

Giving to God ought to always be done with intentionality and excellence.

Malachi 1:14 KJV
“But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.”

Giving to God ought to always be done with intentionality and excellence. When we come before Him or bring offerings, we must remember that He is worthy of the best we can give. This goes beyond material things; it includes the way we sing, the way we serve, and even the way we present ourselves. When we approach God, it should be with a heart that desires to honor Him completely, not just with the leftover pieces.

Imagine the care you would take if you were to meet an earthly ruler. You would bring your finest gift and present yourself with honor. How much more should we do so before the King of Kings? God is not interested in our scraps or second-best; He delights in offerings that reflect our respect and love for Him. We may bow to kings, but all kings bow to Him as the King of Kings. Holding back our best is a missed opportunity to show how much He truly means to us.

Therefore, Let us commit to giving God our very best. Whether in our appearance, our worship, or our offerings, may everything we bring be worthy of the One who deserves it all.  Glory to God!

PRAYER FOR A NATION
BRUNEI
In the nation of Brunei, government and religion are intermingled. A constitutional sultanate, locally known as the Malay Islamic Monarchy, rules the nation in an Islamic tradition dating back to the 15th century.  Even Brunei’s national flag displays the crescent moon, a common Islamic emblem that illustrates the nation’s religious affiliations. Though only 67% of Bruneians are Muslim, it is illegal to proselytize, and Muslims are forbidden to convert from Islam. These restrictions greatly hinder missionary attempts to establish new Christian communities.
