RAISE AN ALARM

Raising an alarm goes beyond a simple shout; it is a holy combination of praise, thanksgiving, and a confident shout of victory.

Numbers 10:9 KJV
And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

When challenges press in from every side, many believers may fall into the trap of feeling overwhelmed, fearful, or even defeated. The natural response might be to cry out in frustration, to complain, or to sink into despair. Yet, this approach only amplifies the weight of our burdens and distracts us from the victory God has prepared for us. In Numbers 10:9, God gives us a powerful tool for moments when we feel overpowered by the enemy: raise an alarm. This is the divine strategy, an act of faith that brings God’s presence and power into our situation.

Raising an alarm goes beyond a simple shout; it is a holy combination of praise, thanksgiving, and a confident shout of victory. Many people reserve their shouts and praises for moments of joy or celebration, but in Scripture, we see God’s people lifting their voices precisely in times of battle. They praised and shouted as enemies surrounded them, and God used their bold faith to bring victory. Though it may seem foolish in the world’s eyes, God delights in these acts of faith, for He uses what seems foolish to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27). He inhabits our praises and responds with deliverance when we honor Him in this way.

If you are facing a situation that feels like a siege, with trials closing in from every direction—whether in family, finances, or health—do not stay silent. Call out to God with your praises, give thanks in faith, and raise your voice. Lift your voice in praise today, trusting that God hears you and will fight for you.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
BRUNEI

In the nation of Brunei, government and religion are intermingled. A constitutional sultanate, locally known as the Malay Islamic Monarchy, rules the nation in an Islamic tradition dating back to the 15th century.  Even Brunei’s national flag displays the crescent moon, a common Islamic emblem that illustrates the nation’s religious affiliations. Though only 67% of Bruneians are Muslim, it is illegal to proselytize, and Muslims are forbidden to convert from Islam. These restrictions greatly hinder missionary attempts to establish new Christian communities.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for an outpour of Your Spirit upon this nation, that the land will become fruitful and many will be saved.

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we ask that You will take away from the church unhealthy competition and help us to follow you completely in all holiness and righteousness, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask for your spirit to rest upon the unsaved soul so that they would be able to deny the flesh and turn fully to the Lord in Jesus Name.
