RESIST THE LIE

When in trouble and you cry unto God, you receive God's salvation but when in trouble and you complain, you are prone to more down time in your spirit.

James 4:7
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Every day, we are confronted with lies that seek to weaken our faith and distract us from God’s truth. These lies can come in many forms—doubts about God’s promises, temptations to compromise, or discouragement about our circumstances. However, the power to overcome these lies within us, not because of our strength, but because of God’s authority.

Our opening text reminds us that we have the ability to resist the devil. When we submit to God and stand firm in His truth, the enemy has no power over us. Resisting the lies of the enemy requires us to hold on to God’s Word, declare His promises, and reject anything that contradicts His truth.

Today, choose to resist the lies of the enemy. Stand firm in God’s Word and watch as the enemy flees. Trust that God has already given you the victory over every lie that seeks to steal your peace and joy.

START-UP PRAYER
Lord, I submit myself completely to You today. I resist every lie of the enemy that seeks to distort Your truth and hinder my faith. Strengthen me to stand firm in Your Word and help me recognize and reject all deceit in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
BRAZIL
Since 1931, a 120-foot tall statue of Jesus with his arms outstretched and his head angled downward toward the city of Rio de Janeiro has stood at the top of the 2,300-foot Corcovado mountain. Down below in the city, however, Jesus’ presence is less visible. Though more than 74% of the country’s people identify themselves as Roman Catholic and another 16% identify themselves as Christian, Brazil is a nation struggling with nominalism and spiritism. Also, out of the 200 million people in the nation, 40 million Brazilians live below the poverty line. Within these slums, hundreds of thousands of street children find themselves trapped in drug addiction, prostitution, and violence, and many suffer from AIDS.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION:

Father, we ask that you renew the minds of the believers of this land with Your Word and give them strength to live according to Your truth even in difficult situations in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS

Father, in the name of Jesus, we bind every evil over the leadership of this nation, we ask that you cause righteousness to reign over every office in this land in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we pray that you give them the grace to not conform to the patterns of this world and not to be led astray by false teachings   in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift up our church leaders to You. We pray for our pastors and ministers, elders and deacons, teachers and ministry leaders and we ask that you continually Instill shepherd hearts in them and inspire them to dig deep into Your Word and root their lives in You alone in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God in Jesus Name.
