SCRIPTURAL TEXT: NEHEMIAH 9:28
“But after they had rest, They again did evil before You. Therefore You left them in the hand of their enemies So that they had dominion over them; Yet when they returned and cried out to You, You heard from heaven; And many times You delivered them according to Your mercies,

In God’s divine plan, a child of God ought to live in dominion. Our scriptural text shows that when you abandon God, He takes away his covering, thereby leaving you at the mercy and control of the devil; this is what the devil wants, dominion over you.
When you consider how wayward and disobedient the Israelites were for 40 years in the wilderness, it is easy to see how God could have said, “They will never measure up!” I need to start afresh.” But that did not happen. When Jesus became sin, God turned his back on Him because God cannot stand sin. GOD NEVER ABANDONED JESUS, EVEN THOUGH IT APPEARED SO. Consider what Jesus said: “Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because You will not abandon me to the grave, nor will You let your Holy One see decay” (Psalms 16:9-10). Sin makes God turn his back on you even though he does not want to. The Israelites’ relationship with God is a typical example of God’s love and mercy; punishing them, by giving them over to their enemies when they sin, and quickly restoring them when they genuinely repent.
Therefore, whenever you fall, quickly repent and ask for God’s help, so the devil will not have dominion over you because that will incur a lot of losses for you.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, I repent of every sin, I ask that the blood of Jesus cleanse me of all uncleanliness in Jesus name

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

We pray that you would give the President wisdom to surround himself with counselors who have our country’s best interest at heart.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray for the church that it will be a fellowship of believers, a people set apart from the world to serve you in newness of life, living in gracious union one with the other
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for a blood-washed city that revival will hit this city, and churches will arise in every place and your name will be known to the uttermost part of the city
