SPEND TIME TO PRAY
Luke 18:1
"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;"
Prayer is more than just a spiritual discipline; it is a profound expression of your dependency on God.
From our opening text, Christ underscores the importance of persistent prayer. This directive is not merely about forming a habit but about cultivating a relationship with God built on trust and reliance.
When you pray, you acknowledge that you cannot navigate life on your own. Conversely, a lack of prayer reveals a different attitude. If you neglect to pray,
it may indicate that you believe you can handle life's challenges perfectly. This also shows that you do not trust God enough to fully handle your life.
Moreover, prayer is not only about asking for things but also about seeking to know God more deeply,
aligning your heart with His will, and growing in your relationship with Him. It is in these moments of intimacy that you experience His sovereignty in transformative ways.
Let us, therefore, make a commitment to begin prioritizing prayer. Draw up a prayer schedule, set alarms, or get an accountability partner where necessary.
This will help not only to strengthen your relationship with Him but also to experience the peace and assurance that comes from knowing that you serve a God who hears and answers (Psalm 34:15).
🙏 Startup Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, I ask that you will help me cultivate a heart that delights in communing with you. Cause my dependence on you to grow stronger each day and may prayer become my first response rather than my last resort in Jesus Name.
