ENGAGE IN WORSHIP

John 4:24 (KJV) –
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Worship is much more than lifting hands or singing a slow song with a soft melody. Contrary to what many believers think, worship is a deep, concentrated adoration expressed through words, music, and actions. Words and songs alone do not constitute worship; without a heart consecrated in adoration to God, it’s just noise, no different from a cassette player playing a tune.

True worship requires a heart fully devoted to revering and glorifying God. In worship, your heart is entirely focused on God—adoring Him for who He is; It’s about reverence, glorification, exaltation, and admiration of His nature and character. True worship starts from within and then expressed outwardly. It’s an intimate connection with God that goes beyond mere words or songs.

God values your worship because it is not just a response to what He has done, but an understanding of His greatness and true nature. While almost anyone can praise God for His deeds, worship is reserved for those who recognize his sovereignty and adore Him for who He truly is. As you approach the place of prayer, come with a heart of reverence, fully focused on God in adoration. When you worship in this way, your victory is assured, and Satan has no choice but to surrender. Hallelujah!

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask that you will give me the grace to worship you in truth and spirit today in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION:
BAHAMAS
Bahamians enjoy religious freedoms, with the majority of the population being Christian.
However, Wealth and material things have become extremely important in Bahamian culture and have contributed to a rise in crime – mainly armed robbery and petty theft. Standards of morality have decreased, especially more births out of wedlock and drug use. While the majority of the people claim to be Christian, fewer are committed to the Church, and many churches lack pastoral leadership. The people need spiritual guidance and encouragement to continue the Lord’s work and to minister to the younger generation and the Haitian refugees.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for a mighty revival to hit this nation that those who practice other religions will begin to feel the emptiness without Jesus in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for boldness to rest upon the leaders of this nation that they will begin to make laws that favour the cause of the Gospel, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL:
Oh Lord, we pray that You would remember your covenants and promises towards Israel, especially when others rise up against her to swallow her alive in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask that You will give us the spirit of humility and patience that we may show tolerance for one another in love in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ will shine in the hearts of every unsaved person all around us today in Jesus Name.
