Philippians 4:9 KJV
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Fear is a tactic meant to shake your foundation and distract you from God’s promises. The enemy’s goal is to rob you of peace, filling you with fear to disrupt the truths you have learned. When your peace is compromised, it becomes challenging to stand firm in what you know to be true. Yet, God offers a way to keep fear from unsettling you: submission to His Word.

Submitting to God’s Word means applying what you have learned, living out the truths you have received and observed. This daily choice to submit ensures that peace will guard your heart and mind. Our opening text clearly reveals that the key to experiencing God’s peace lies in acting upon His Word. When fear rises, your response should be to stand firm in what you know, reinforcing your peace through obedience.

So, whenever fear creeps in, remember that it is time to rely on the principles of the Word you already hold dear. Continue to apply them, and trust that God’s peace will surround you. Stand firm, submit to His Word, and allow His peace to reign in you.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
BRAZIL
Since 1931, a 120-foot tall statue of Jesus with his arms outstretched and his head angled downward toward the city of Rio de Janeiro has stood at the top of the 2,300-foot Corcovado mountain. Down below in the city, however, Jesus’ presence is less visible. Though more than 74% of the country’s people identify themselves as Roman Catholic and another 16% identify themselves as Christian, Brazil is a nation struggling with nominalism and spiritism. Also, out of the 200 million people in the nation, 40 million Brazilians live below the poverty line. Within these slums, hundreds of thousands of street children find themselves trapped in drug addiction, prostitution, and violence, and many suffer from AIDS.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you stir up a hunger amongst the believers of this land for more of Your presence and righteousness in their life in Jesus Name.
