It is not uncommon to hear some people attribute their plight to the actions of others, especially in an attempt to play victim. Such persons may reference past events that they had no control over, or the unwillingness of others to help them as the reason for failure. While one may not be able to totally rule out the impact of these negative experiences, living in the past or cherishing those excuses will never help.
Our opening text today points towards taking responsibility for your life. It speaks of moving away from the realm of excuses to proactivity, especially with respect to growth and personal development.
When you take responsibility, you position yourself to learn from your experiences, so that even amid trials, you can find opportunities to grow in character, faith, and perseverance, trusting that God is using every situation to refine you and draw you closer to Himself. Also, as you navigate the complexities of life, do not lean on your understanding alone, but seek God’s guidance in all you do. By submitting to God’s leading, you will find strength to bear your burdens and the wisdom to make righteous decisions that take you even further.
Above all, take advantage of the finished work of Christ to move past any limitations of your past or that you may currently be grappling with. Understand that in Christ, you are a new creature, and He has the given you the grace to make a fresh start.

🙏 DAILY PRAYER GUIDE
Father in the name of Jesus, help me to break free from the limitations of my past, and to forge ahead to achieve all that you have ordained me, in the name of Jesus.
🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – NORWAY
Freedom of religion is granted in Norway, with the Church of Norway being Lutheran. Though the majority of the population are church members, a large number of them are no longer committed. Islam is now the second largest religion, but many are not fully committed to the Islamic faith and are thus open to the Gospel.
1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the unreached people in this nation that they will encounter the Lord and surrender to His lordship in their lives.
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the leaders of Norway, that they will acknowledge you in all that they do, and be led by God’s Spirit to align with God’s purpose for the nation, in Jesus Name.
🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( [popup_anything id=”5015″] )

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray against unhealthy competition in the Church and we ask that you will help us to follow you completely in all holiness and righteousness.
