There is a right posture in thanksgiving. A man who comes to present a gift to a king and stands nonchalantly or frowns, is showing his disregard for the king despite what his lips may profess or what the quality of his gift may be.
Your posture in thanksgiving is as vital as your thanksgiving. The leprous man shows us an example of a right posture in the act of thanksgiving; this is not to say that you have to lie down on the ground or go on your knees every time you want to thank God. The emphasis however, is on possessing an attitude and heart of reverence and gratitude before God.
Thanksgiving is more than just words, a seed or a song; it is a spiritual substance that proceeds out of the heart of a grateful believer and it is a highly valued virtue in the realms of the spirit, commanding heavenly attention and support when activated. Glory to God!
