THE RIGHT WAY TO HONOUR GOD

 2 Samuel 24:24 KJV
“And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
“

Do you know that honouring God is a very fundamental part of our faith? Many people think that the right and only way to honour God is by singing praises to Him, but that’s not entirely true.

From our opening scripture, we see David demonstrate a profound principle: true honour to God involves giving something of value, something that costs us.
When Honouring God, we must move past our convenience to give something worth His sovereignty. Not only that, we must come with our heart set to reverence Him because everything that we are and have actually orginates from Him (Psalm 50: 12).

With this understanding today, make up your mind to give to God out of revelation, no matter what it costs, and expect God to move mightyly on your behalf. Also, ensure to do this with the right heart and as you honor God, watch him honour you even before men. Hallelujah!

🎴DAILY PRAYER GUIDE

▪Heavenly father, I ask for grace to begin to honor you the right way. Help me move past my convenience to honor you no matter the cost.

◾Prayer for a Nation- Afghanistan

Afghanistan is a Muslim-majority country with a small Christian minority. There is no official count of Christians in Afghanistan, as many are forced to keep their faith secret due to persecution. However, estimates suggest that there are only a few hundred to a few thousand Christians in the country.

Christianity is not recognized as a legitimate religion in Afghanistan, and converts from Islam face severe discrimination and even death. The country’s constitution only recognizes Islam as the official religion, and apostasy (converting from Islam to another religion) is punishable by death.

Despite these challenges, there are some underground churches and Christian communities in Afghanistan, mostly made up of expatriates and converts from other religions. However, their activities are heavily restricted, and they often face harassment and intimidation from authorities and extremist groups.

◾Prayer for the Nation
 Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for the spirit of boldness to rest upon the few converts in Afghanistan that like never before, they will step out proclaiming the power in the name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Leaders
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for the leaders in Afghanistan that by the influence of the HolySpirit, they will begin to enact laws to protect Christians in Afghanistan.

◾Prayer for Israel
Father, in the name of Jesus, cause Israel to be victorious, in the name of Jesus.

◾Prayer for the Unity of the Church

Father, in the name of Jesus, we interceed for the Body of Christ and we ask that you will help us to walk worthy and fully pleasing before you in Jesus Name.

◾Prayer for Souls/Revival
Father, we pray for every unsaved soul. We ask that you will circumcise their hearts and help them to be fully submissive to you in Jesus Name.
