WHY GOD PROSPERS YOU

Deuteronomy 8:18
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Imagine a life brimming with blessings, not just enough to meet your needs, but with an abundance that spills over to make impact where it matters. This right here is the essence of true prosperity. God does not prosper us just with the aim of filling our bank accounts so we may establish multiple businesses, purchase more cars and houses here and there, etc.. While these are not bad in themselves, God intends for what He gives to be used not only for ourselves, but for the right purposes.

Throughout scripture, we see countless examples of God showering His favour upon His people. From Abraham, with overflowing tents and livestock (Genesis 13:2), to Solomon, whose reign overflowed with wisdom and riches (1Kings 10:23), God demonstrates his desire to bless his children. But prosperity is not simply an end in itself; it is a wellspring designed to quench the thirst of people around us.

Therefore, realize the responsibility that comes with the blessing that God gives you: you are a channel of His blessing; a vessel blessed to empower others. Thus, create systems that channel money to worthy causes like the preaching of the Gospel, church planting, empowerment programs, help initiatives etc. Whatever degree of blessing you have, let it register in your mind that you can make impact with it, so seek opportunities to share your blessings, prioritize God’s house and remember: prosperity is a gift, but its true value lies in the impact that it makes.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TIMOR LESTE
Timor-Leste is one of the few countries in Asia where the majority of the population identify as Christian (99.6%), most of whom are Roman Catholic (97.6%).The remaining population identify with Islam (0.2%) or some other religion (0.2%). However, despite such a strong Church presence, Timor-Leste is a troubled place: one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia, some 46 percent of East Timorese have never received any formal education. More than one-third of its population faces food shortages on a regular basis. Additionally, this nation has one of the world’s most traumatic recent histories.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the believers in the nation, that they will live attractive lives that shine as light to draw the unsaved to salvation, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for the leaders:

Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for the salvation of the leaders of this land that they will begin to rule in the Fear of the Lord, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for all those who have left the church because of offense, hurt, or misconduct, that they will be restored to their place by your mercy in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the voice of the Holy Spirit will become clearer to our missionaries and field workers today, that they may be led to ripe souls in Jesus name.
