for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit; 1 Corinthians 12:8
The gift of the word of wisdom is the supernatural revelation of the divine purpose, plan, and will of God. A word of wisdom has to do with that which is of the future- the unknown. When God gives a word of wisdom, He is revealing something that has not yet come to pass. Apostle Paul puts it this way in 1 Corinthians 2:7- But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory.
The gift of the word of wisdom is given as the Spirit of God wills, regardless of one’s background. It also has no relation to a person’s natural knowledge. When God conveys to the church through someone a word of wisdom, He made the person wiser in that matter. The Holy Spirit who is the father knows all things and at every time, reveals what is to come in fragments to the people of God and that wisdom is to guide their decisions and actions.
We see this gift in functionality in the life of Apostle John, who was caught up in the vision on the Lord’s Day and was given a revelation of things to come ( Revelation 1:1-2), more can also be said of Daniel, Ezekiel, David, Paul amongst others who were given the gift of the word of wisdom. This gift is still operational in the church and as a believer; you should earnestly covet for this gift to be operational in your life. Desire it today!

The legacy of apartheid continues to impact the nation. Despite progress in some areas, inequalities and injustices of the past continue to shape the future. There is still the need for much reconciliation among all races. Rape and violent crime rates are alarmingly high. The proliferation of illegal firearms, poverty, desperation, and lack of justice fuels hopelessness and anarchy.
Y: We are praying for a mighty move of God’s Spirit upon the land that many will encounter Christ and hold unto Him.
Startup Prayer: Dear Father, I desire the gifts of the HolySpirit in my life, let it be operational in me in Jesus’ name.
