2 Corinthians 9:8
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
Contrary to the opinion of many, God desires the prosperity of His people (Psa. 35:27). Our text today shows us that He makes grace abound towards you so that you can always have enough. This means that lack is not God’s will for you, neither is poverty His agenda. Rather, through His grace, you would experience overflow. Say Amen to that.
Beyond the promise of overflow however, our scripture text today shows us that God has a vision for your prosperity. His plan for believers to live in plenty and lacking nothing, is so that they might be able to fully and actively participate in establishing His purposes on the earth. His purpose for blessing you is so that you can advance the course of His Kingdom; that is, to support, defend and spread the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Have you personalized this vision of God, as yours?
You can bring God’s grace for overflow upon your finances today by setting aside financial resources towards advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Start by being faithful to God with your kingdom oblations i.e. your tithes, offerings etc. Plan for it, practice it, and teach others to do the same. Always remember His promise is to those who honour Him with their substance (Prov. 3:9); He says their barns shall be filled with plenty, and they will have new wine. This will be your testimony as you do this today and always. Halleluyah!
