ABOUND BY OBEDIENCE

Scriptural Text: 1Corinthians 15:58
“ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. ”

Our opening text today is a call to engage and abound in good works, which brings glory to God. To abound is to overflow, to be abundant, or to be fruitful. This also is an area we ought to labour.

As believers, whenever we learn something new in the Word, just like any student would, we are immediately put in a situation where that knowledge is tested in us.

Life presents us with situations where we have the opportunity to apply what we have learned, so we may put the Word to use to the glory of God. It is in these moments that our obedience is put to the test.

Obedience is the key to abounding in the work of the Lord. It is through our obedience that we bear fruits and bring glory to God. Just as a plant needs to be rooted in the ground to grow and bear fruit, our obedience keeps us rooted in God's will.

Therefore, be encouraged to abound in the work of the Lord by obedience to the voice of God's Spirit in line with the revelation that He has given.

Do not shy away from testing situations, knowing that they are opportunitues for you to prevail by the word and bring glory to your Father in heaven. This is God's will for you.

🙏 Startup Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, give me the grace to stand firm in your Word, abounding by obedience in every good work, in Jesus Name.

🏴PRAYER FOR A NATION: PARAGUAY
Paraguay's government promotes religious freedom and most of the population is Roman Catholic,

but because of its location in the center of South America, Paraguay has become involved in the crime of larger surrounding countries like Brazil and Argentina.

Economically, many of its people live below the poverty line.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, give me the grace to stand firm in your Word, abounding by obedience in every good work, in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the leaders: :
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray against division in the leadership of this nation, but that they will commit to working cooperatively for the common good of the nation.

🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( Psalms 122-6 )(Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.

💒PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Dear Father, we pray for the body of Christ, we ask that you will raise men and women who will contend for the unity of faith in all places and at all times, in Jesus name.

☄️PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, cause your revival fire to rest upon the hearts of men and women in our cities, leading to a widespread acceptance of the Gospel in every place, in the name of Jesus.
