EMBRACE CHANGE

Read in your own language

April 14, 2023

Scriptural Text:
Luke 15:18 (NKJV).
“I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee”

In the pursuit of one’s dreams, and actualization of set goals, one may often discover that certain strategies employed fail to deliver desired results. At that juncture, the ability to acknowledge the need for change, and the courage to act are two important skills that one should possess to turn the situation around.

Change is a necessary part of life and a key ingredient for success. We see an example In our opening text today, where the resolve of the prodigal son was recorded. After squandering his portion, he saw the need for a change, and therefore sought the forgiveness of his father, and a new beginning. His circumstance had changed because of his poor choices, but he was not afraid to turn around and choose the right course.

Thus, it takes humility to embrace change, a declaration that we are not perfect, and that there was a better way to do things which we did not know before. On the other hand, It is pride to refuse change, especially in the face of obvious under-performance.

Therefore, be humble enough to admit areas in your life where your approach or mode of operation has failed to yield the desired results. Research and seek counsel for new ways to make things work, and be ready to employ better strategies for higher productivity. This is the way to turn your past failure into success.
