One of the first things warriors consider before getting into battle is who has got
their back. While it is normal for many to consider the size of an army or how equipped they are, this does not apply to us as believers. As believers, we do not prevail by strength (1 Samuel 2:9), nor by our numbers, because, God can save by many or a few (1 Samuel 14:6), nor by the efficacy of our physical weaponry (Psalm 20:7). We must recognize that the source of all our victories is the Lord Himself and it is He who has got our back. Halleluyah!
Our opening Scripture is one of many Scriptures that shows us that the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s. David recognized this and prevailed against Goliath on this revelation. In Exodus 14:14, we also see that the Lord expects us to hold our peace while He fights for us. Also, in 2 Chronicles 20:15, when Jehoshaphat and the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem were faced with battle from the children of Amon, Moab and Mount Seir, the Lord spoke through Jahaziel the son of Zechariah
to the people, commanding them not to fear or be discouraged by reason of the great multitude that was against them; for the battle is not theirs, but His. This revelation was what David and King Jehoshaphat thrived on, that secured their victories in battle.
So, when the enemy comes against you like a roaring lion, seeking to run down your momentum by fear, remember, that God has got your back. So, it would not be by your efforts, or by your weaponry, or by numbers. Rather, gather momentum from knowing that if God be for you, nobody can be against you (Romans 8:31). Halleluyah!

PRAYERS FOR NATIONS & LEADERS(BOUGAINVILLE)
Bougainville is an Island. There exists decades of bitterness and hatred between the Papua New Guinea government and the Bougainville Islanders. There is still a need for forgiveness and reconciliation in that nation.
1. We are praying that the Gospel of Christ will prevail in Bougainville.
2. Dear lord, give the President grace and courage to make sound decisions that align with your will for the nation in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for men and women out there in the city who do not know you; we cry out for their souls that they will be convinced of the reality of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and that they will be bold to accept and declare his Lordship.
