_Acts 19:17 – And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified._
Sometimes, it takes people to experience the display of the power of God, before they eventually believe on His Name and reverence Him. In Acts 19, Paul the Apostle experienced a similar occurrence, where some people whose hearts were hardened against his preaching, had to first see miracles wrought by his hands, before they believed on the Name of the Lord.
In fact, the Scripture emphasizes that when these people saw the special miracles that were wrought by Paul, great fear fell upon them, and then they not only believed on the name of the Lord, but magnified it as well. How profound!
So, another way to magnify the name of the Lord, other than by worship, is through reverence. In the place of reverence, God’s omnipotence and supremacy are acknowledged and when expressed, it exalts God above every other being or entity. Indeed, reverence and glorification go hand in hand. Hallelujah!
