Psalm 115:3
_But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased._
Our God is sovereign and the extent of His sovereignty cannot be overemphasized. To be sovereign means to have ultimate power to rule; or to do anything that one pleases, without being stopped or limited. This means that God has the power to do anything He pleases, without being answerable to any being. How amazing!
He created all things (Colossians 1:16), and in His supremacy, He determines the course of all things. He commands the tides and controls the seasons; He instructs the galaxies and presides over the multiverses. Man is but one of His numerous creations, of which He is accountable to none, and with whom He can do whatever He pleases.
So, as often as you breathe and experience the awesomeness and supremacy of God around you, train your mind to see beyond just the happenings and the visible creation. Rather recognize the Creator as well, acknowledge His sovereignty as God and fear before Him. Hallelujah!
