WHAT ARE YOU SEEING AND SAYING - DEVOTIONAL BOX

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: : 1 Samuel 17:45

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:
but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast
defied

Different levels of result are characterized by different levels of
momentum. A poor result is often characterized by a poor level of momentum, and a great result is characterized by a great level of momentum. It is important however, to note that the difference between the levels of momentum begins with our sight and the words of our mouth.

In 1 Samuel 17:42-44, Goliath had presented himself against David with his size, his threats and his battle
weapons. However, in our opening Scripture, David refused to see his own physical inadequacy before Goliath, who apart from being a giant, also came well equipped for the battle. David recognized that the
battle was not his, but the Lord’s, and so he began to SEE the defeat of Goliath and began to SPEAK it,
challenging Goliath in the name of the Lord. With this momentum that had welled up in him, he ran
towards Goliath and delivered the sling shot that brought Goliath down.

What have you been seeing and what have you been saying? This year, refuse to see the enormity of your
situation or to hear its threats. Refuse to allow fear gain access to your heart to kill your momentum.
Rather, see and speak just as David did, because, the battle is the Lord’s. Glory to God!

PRAYERS FOR NATIONS & LEADERS(BOUGAINVILLE)

Bougainville is an Island. There exists decades of bitterness and hatred between the Papua New Guinea government and the Bougainville Islanders. There is still a need for forgiveness and reconciliation in that nation.

1. We are praying that the spirit of oneness and harmony will rest upon the people of Bougainville.
2. Dear Lord, give the leaders wisdom that they may be able to do things beyond their understanding. Help them to choose the right path when they make decisions on behalf of the nation.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that your light will cover our nations, that in all places men, women and youths will begin to hunger for you.
