SCRIPTURAL TEXT: I rememberthe days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy Hands. (Psalm 143:5).
There are times in our lives when something important happens that makes us so grateful. Maybe it’s that phone call saying we got the job we so desperately wanted or perhaps a good news about our loved ones. We are excited, overjoyed, happy and so thankful! That wonderful feeling sticks with us for a while and then somehow, it fades away.
What meaningful situation or events can you recall from your life to reactivate deep feelings of gratitude and excitement? We can see an example in our scriptural text today from the Psalmist. The blessings of God are forever, hence our thanks to Him for what He has done should never cease. As your thanksgiving remains before Him concerning that which He has done for you, so also will your blessing remain. Glory to God!
Draw up a list of those things that you received from God since the year began. Pull it out from that archives in your mind and savor it. Meditate on His faithfulness, reminisce upon those things and let the feeling of overwhelming gratitude lead you to give God thanks again and again today and throughout this month. As you do this, your blessings will remain fresh and preserved even for a longer period. Halleluyah!
