Life’s twists and turns can sometimes make us rethink God’s faithfulness and promises, but no matter how many times we evaluate His promises, His Word stands sure and never fails.
Our opening text today is both comforting and reassuring, a powerful reminder from the Lord about His plans for us. Beyond what we know or have experienced, His plan is to prosper, preserve and position us for the future that He has in store for us. This calls for us to trust and rest in Him.
However, trusting in God’s plan does not mean that everything will always go smoothly or according to our projections. Rather, it is having confidence that even during trials and challenges, He is working all things together for our good (Rom. 8:28). In His plan, He has compensated for every seeming downtime and low point. He has a hope and future for you!
Be reminded that you are not an afterthought; God knew you even before you were born, has you in His plans and has a definite purpose for your life. Considering His integrity, nothing should make you doubt His promise and plan to give you a hope and a future.
Therefore, do not allow yourself slip into worry or depression because of any seeming setback. Even when you may not fully comprehend it, realize that God’s ways are higher than yours (Isa. 55:9). So, set His promises before your eyes, and trust Him to bring His Word to pass
