At the beginning of a planting season, a farmer prepares his seed for planting, tills the land, plants the seeds, and then tends the emerging plants until they are mature and ready for harvesting. This cycle ensures that what he had as a seed at the beginning becomes a bountiful harvest in the end; a little at the beginning, and so much more at harvest.

Our opening text today tells us that it is what you sow that comes back to you as a harvest. It goes without saying then that you can determine how prosperous you would be by the end of every cycle in your life, just by paying attention to that which you sow with every opportunity that you get.

For instance, a seed of unbelief mixed with negative words would yield nothing but disappointment and regret sometimes later in the year. However, conscious efforts taken to ensure that you invest God’s Word into your heart, coupled with a lifestyle of faith and consistency would bring into reality all God has promised. The harvest is yours to determine.

Therefore, pay attention to what you sow as a seed today. Whether through your financial commitment to the Kingdom, your soulwinning life, or even in your investment into the lives of others, remember, God is not mocked, you will only reap to the extent that you sow!
